The sunrise signals us to start the day and the sunset tells us it is to end. Oh, sunrise, sunset, when will your days multiply?
I have asked seven fourth year students and they said that they would rather just get the year over with than to take the time to enjoy. We have been through three years of up’s and down’s – mostly up’s. Now we think it is time to make plans about the next steps.
Time is too long. I feel that if I take the time to enjoy too much I will be burdened with bad karma and the consistency of acceptable grades will be pulled from under the rug. But on the contrary, if I take studies too seriously I will constantly be reminded of how far year end is.
What to do? Nothing is to do… time is out of our control.
I know it is wrong to think so negatively on time – saying that it is too slow and that we want to rush. I know that by year end, I will probably say,” I should’ve taken my time, I should’ve cherished every moment given.” But although I know that regret will fall upon me, the way I think now hasn’t seemed to change.
So deep down I say, “oh sunrise, sunset, when will your days multiply?” # by Jenny Rogers
