I chose a club that could best fits me, a club that I will be comfortable with, and a club of my own interest. I had chosen the Journalism Club because I really like writing and I want to continue it.

When I was in elementary, I was able to join the Division Schools Press Conference which led me to the Regional Schools Press Conference. Unfortunately, I only got the fifth place so I was not able to join the national competition. I have experienced and learned a lot in these conferences. I'm very sad to hear that SMS won’t be joining press conferences.

Members of the Journalism Club write for the Sagada Postboy, the official publication of the students of Saint Mary’s school of Sagada. They write news stories about the school and also write feature articles. The editors write the editorial. There are also poems and photographs and a cordillera section in the paper. Sir Melvin Magsanoc is the adviser.

I don’t regret choosing the club and I expect lots of fun with the club throughout the year. # by By Cleofe Inso
