The faculty and staff members of Saint Mary's School of Sagada goes to Itogon Resorts, Itogon, Benguet for an overnight swimming to celebrate Teachers' Day on Friday, September 16, 2011.
The celebration is supposed to be on September 28 which is also Confucius Day but it falls on a Wednesday. Next week is also the Intramural, September 22-24, 2011. The following week is District Meet. The first week of October is in preparation for the exams on October 13-14, 2011. So this Friday is the appropriate time.
The fifth years and some fourth year students who won't be going to La Trinidad, Benguet and Baguio City to take college entrance exams takes over the classes.
Sir Dennis Faustino, the SMS headmaster, Ma'am Nemia Lite, the SMS principal, Ma'am Janet Eason, the SMS art teacher, and Sir Stephen Ofo-ob, the SMS chaplain, will stay to supervise the student teachers.
The teachers will spend the whole night of Friday in the resort and will travel back to Sagada the following day.
"Our teachers deserve a break, a time to relax," Ma'am Lite said.
STUDENTS TAKE ENTRANCE EXAMS
Thirteen fifth year students and three fourth year students will go to La Trinidad, Benguet and Baguio City on Friday to take the Benguet State University (BSU) Entrance Exams and the Ateneo College Entrance Test (ACET) on Saturday, September 17, 2011.
Thirteen students will take the BSU Entrance Exams which will be held in the afternoon. Six students will take the ACET in the morning at Baguio City National High School. |
