Face book
This is the most famous website in the whole world, Face book or FB. This is the evolution of Friendster. Most of us who want to be accepted to a group use this. Sometimes this is the topic that we, students, talks about because this contains the latest news, the coolest things and public pictures users are posting and sharing.
There are some good things and bad things about this site, its either criticizing or complimenting. The good thing is that we can chat here faster and clearer unlike the use of cellular phone where we must wait for a minute before receiving messages. In the chat box of face book, it’s only seconds before we receive messages even if it’s just a laugh, “ok”, or =).
The bad thing in here is that you can never keep a secret. Face book is now the famous thing to fit into the society but this can displace you, too. The pictures other users post can destroy your secret. Just like when a person caught you walking with your gf, bf, or with anybody else and took a shot, expect that it will directly be posted on FB. Sometimes we take it positively that it can make us famous in the school and in the society but sometimes it just complicates things. Most of the time, we spend longer hours and pay more in updating and being updated in our face book. It robs us of our quality time with those significant others who are near us. It robs us of the time we should be spending studying our lessons.
As youths today, we are influenced by the use of technology. I think our teachers should go with this trend also. A thought just crossed my mind, why can’t teachers use face book as a means to teach us? Well, some of them are into it. I am not saying this thing is bad but some times when it’s too much already, we need to control or better yet stop. Too much obsession is not how we show appreciation to a thing.
